Security Scanner Terms

When using our free security scanner, you specifically agree to the following:

• You have authorization to scan the website URL you submit
• You will only scan websites that you own or have explicit permission to test
• The scan results are provided "as is" and should not be considered a comprehensive security audit
• LockedCyber is not responsible for any actions taken based on scan results
• You will not use scan results for malicious purposes or to exploit discovered vulnerabilities
• Scan results may be retained for service improvement purposes, subject to our Privacy Policy

AI Chatbot Terms

When using our AI-powered chatbot, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• AI responses are for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional security advice
• The chatbot is not a substitute for professional cybersecurity consultation, legal advice, or compliance guidance
• AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies; always verify critical information with qualified professionals
• Conversation data may be processed by third-party AI services (Groq API) to generate responses
• You will not use the chatbot to attempt to extract harmful, illegal, or malicious information
• LockedCyber is not liable for decisions made based on AI chatbot responses

Newsletter Terms

By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to the following:

• You consent to receive periodic emails about cybersecurity news, tips, and LockedCyber services
• You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in each email
• Your email address will be stored securely and will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes
• Newsletter frequency and content may change at our discretion
• Unsubscribe requests will be processed within 48 hours

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of our Services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, software, and documentation, are the exclusive property of LockedCyber and are protected by South African and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of our Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LockedCyber, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from:

• Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights
• Any claim that your use of our Services caused damage to a third party

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to our Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use our Services will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

Changes to Terms
